When “Married at First Sight” returns to the screen, the marriage is no longer legally binding.
In “Married at First Sight”, three couples have been matched by professionals over the course of six seasons and entered into marriage – despite the fact that they have never met each other before.
Now the program is back with a new twist, and among the participants is Cecilie Andrea Varela (25). She has previously appeared in “Ex on the beach”, “Paradise Hotel” and “71 degrees north”. At the moment, she is also current with “Good Luck Guys” on Amazone Prime.
In the new version of the program there are a total of six couples who will go to the altar. However, the marriage is no longer legally binding.
– We have given the participants the opportunity to test marriage and choose love, without the legal obligations, says presenter Benjamin Silseth in a press release.
– The wedding ceremony, on the other hand, is just as important as before, it acts as a kick-start to the feelings, and the ritual brings the couples together. If it looks like a wedding and it feels like a wedding, then it just is a wedding. The experience from other countries also shows that many people find it easier to join the experiment, now that the legal bonds of marriage have been removed, says Silseth.
After the wedding and honeymoon, all the couples move into an apartment complex, and the participants meet every week for dinner parties and love ceremonies, where they have to choose each other again.
