RSDC Athlete’s House Kemayoran experienced a surge in COVID-19 patients. The patients had to sit in line to enter the isolation room.
Portraits of Corona patients queuing up were recorded in a 10-second video. The video went viral and got the spotlight.
In the video, residents can be seen taking turns collecting data. The patients were seen carrying bags and suitcases to undergo a period of isolation.
The Public Relations Coordinator of the Wisma Atlet Covid-19 Hospital, Lt. Col. TNI AL M. Arifin said the incident occurred last night at 21.00 WIB. Patient queues occur at Tower 4 Athlete’s House.
“It’s crowded at night. Tower 4. Not OTG, OTG Tower 5. Starting last week, it’s really gone up by 300, 400, 500, 661 ever, 500 back, basically it’s over 300, until today too, last night right, that’s why there was a lot of video the facts are like that,” said Arifin, to reporters, Tuesday (15/6/2021).
He said there were hundreds of patients queuing up. Arifin said that to get an isolation room, patients had to register first.
Moreover, symptomatic patients should be checked regularly to find out further medical action. The team of doctors will check the patient’s blood pressure or check if there are symptoms of shortness of breath or not.
“If there are no symptoms, it’s fast. The process of getting a room and a lot of people coming in. So line up,” said Arifin.
Arifin said increasing the number of COVID patients in Indonesia Athlete’s House dominated by Jakartans. Arifin hopes that there will be a tightening in DKI Jakarta to suppress active cases of COVID-19.
“What’s sent from our own health center, the ones in Cipayung will still be sent later, they will send again. Even though hundreds of them have been visiting the Idul Fitri cluster since the beginning, they have even been infected in neighboring villages, Ciracas, Bambu Apus “The control should start now. Stories of Patients Queuing for Hours
The number of Corona patients at Wisma Atlet is illustrated in the video and the testimony of a patient undergoing isolation there. Dimas Adhitya Dwidaswara had to fight for 7.5 hours to get a room at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC).
He admitted that he had moved from one tower to another because he did not get a room for self-isolation.
“I was taken by an ambulance to Tower 5, when I got there it was full. Then we moved to Tower 6, after it was full, we moved again to Tower 4. So I got there at 19.30 WIB, and it turned out that there were very many people there, ‘ said Dimas.
