Real Madrid survived last night (Wednesday) 120 minutes and a dramatic penalty shootout against Manchester City on the way to the semi-finals of the Champions League, where a double encounter with Bayern Munich awaits them. The leader of the Spanish league wants to prepare properly for the first match in Munich on April 30, and therefore contacted the league manager to advance the match against Real Sociedad.
The Blancos are scheduled to host San Sebastian on Saturday (April 27) and after three days play in Munich, and they are asking for consideration and bringing the league game forward by 24 hours, to Friday. In that case, Real will have a little more rest than Bayern, who should play at home against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday at noon.
According to the report in “Marca”, in Madrid there is great optimism that the league will indeed respond to the request, certainly in light of the fact that it moved forward the games of Barcelona and Atlético Madrid before the round of 16. Now Real is the last representative of Spain in the UEFA factories and the one that can provide the country with a few more points, in a season in which in any case it will be relegated from the first two places in the league rankings – for the first time since 1998.

In France, the league manager went ahead of Paris Saint-Germain and postponed (to an undisclosed date) the match against Nice scheduled for May 3, so that the champions would not have to play in the league between their two semi-finals against Borussia Dortmund. Marseille and Lille will also receive similar assistance, if they also qualify for the semi-finals of the Europa League and the Conference League, respectively.
