Real Madrid’s official television opened fire on the referee of the derby match against Atletico Madrid yesterday evening, Sunday, in the 23rd round of the Spanish League.
The Spanish newspaper AS reported Real TV’s attack on referee Sanchez Martinez, saying: “This man who blew the whistle today, does he have the conscience to sleep well tonight?”

Al-Malaki TV pointed out that “Athleti is the club most favored by the referees in this league, and with a large difference from the closest competitor. They won the 2020-21 league with clear refereeing errors.”
The matter did not stop at attacking the match referee. Rather, the analytical studio addressed Xavi Hernandez, Barcelona’s technical director, who had previously stated, denouncing the refereeing performance: “I only ask that they allow us to compete.”
Real Madrid’s official channel said: “We must remember that Xavi’s career as a player is in doubt, because his matches are under investigation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the judiciary (bribery of Negrera). His entire career is in doubt.”
