Recently, Real Madrid paid approximately SEK 240 million to buy the giant talent Arda Güler, 18, from Fenerbahce. But now the young midfielder has suffered a setback.
Just a few weeks after arriving at the “Meringues”, the club confirms that Güler has suffered a knee injury. Real Madrid writes on its website that an injury has been found to the talent’s inner meniscus, and further examinations will now be carried out in the coming days to determine its extent.
Goal writes that Güler will be out of action for at least a month, but the absence could be longer than that. The 18-year-old has left Real Madrid’s training camp in the United States and returned to Spain.
“I would like to be on the pitch today (training match against Barcelona) with my teammates, but I am returning to Madrid to start my rehab and be ready to play again as soon as possible,” he wrote on social media.
Arda Güler’s contract with Real Madrid runs until the summer of 2029.
