Real Madrid will be tough, but it’s time for Liverpool to win

Liverpool

Left back Liverpool Andy Robertson hasn’t forgotten the losses to Real Madrid. Robertson wants to end this bad trend and become a champion.

Liverpool will face Madrid in the final Liga Champions 2021/2022. The final match will be held at the Stade de France, Paris, on Sunday (29/5/2022) in the morning WIB.

The Reds qualified for the final after defeating Villarreal 3-2 (5-2) in the semifinal second leg. On the other hand, made a heroic comeback to beat Manchester City 3-1 (6-5 aggregate).

The fight between the two European giants is a replay final Liga Champions 2017/18, which Madrid won 3-1. Next two seasons Real Madrid get rid of Liverpool in the last eight of the same competition with 3-1 on aggregate.

Andy Robertson I am well aware that the match against Madrid will be very difficult. But Liverpool are determined not to experience a similar result.

“Obviously when we went through we knew we were going to face a quality team,” Robertson told Liverpool’s official website. “The way they qualify is quite special and their game will be tough.”

“We’ve played them in the final before and obviously the result wasn’t what we expected. We wanted to try to improve it, and of course they knocked us out last season too, even though we were quite limp at the time but it still hurts after being knocked out in the quarter-finals.”

“We are looking forward to the game, now there are still a few games before that so we focus on the closest but two very big clubs, the two clubs with the most achievements in European matches. It will be an interesting game and we look forward to it when the time comes.” Robertson looks to the game against Real Madrid.
