Real Madrid lost to Mallorca by own goal

Barcelona: Real Madrid’s attempt to overtake Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga points table with a win has been dealt a blow to Mallorca. Mallorca won by a single goal at home. An own goal scored by Nacho Fernandez in the 13th minute sealed the fate of Real.

Despite dominating throughout the game, Royal could not find the back of the net. They also missed a penalty in the 59th minute. Marco Asensio’s kick was blocked by the Mallorca goalkeeper. After 19 matches, Royal has 45 points. Barcelona are five points ahead.
