Real Madrid has suffered a painful and curious defeat at Valencia. In a match that was full of incidents it became no less than 4-1.
Karim Benzema still gave Real the lead with a hard long shot, but after that there was only disaster about the Madrid people. That started with an almost comical penalty kick. That was initially turned by goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, after which Soler shot against the post in the rebound and Yunus Musah scored in the third instance. However, the hit was canceled because Musah was caught up too early, after which the penalty had to be taken over.
That penalty kick was redeemed by Soler, putting Valencia back on par with Real Madrid. And the club of the injured Jasper Cillessen even took the lead just before half-time when Real defender Raphaël Varane passed his own goalkeeper in a crazy way. Equally crazy was the way in which the keeper scrambled for the ball in vain.
