Real Madrid take back the championship lead!
The Madrid go past FC Barcelona 2-0 at Clásico and are now one point ahead of the Catalan defending champions – thanks to Toni Kroos and Vinícius Júnior.
Barcelona’s Arthur has the first big chance: after a ball from Griezmann, he goes solo on the left. Courtois clears to the corner (34th).
After a good hour of play, Real turns it on, Barça stumbles!
Ter Stegen saves first, steers an Isco shot spectacularly just over the bar (56th). Shortly thereafter ter Stegen and Piqué clear a header – again from Isco – directly in front of the line (61.).
The lead goal for Real is then made by someone who has not scored in the league since the end of September – Vinícius Júnior (71.). After preparatory work by Toni Kroos, the Brazilian left winger inserts his second goal of the season in the Primera División.
Mariano, who came on straight away, increased to 2-0 (90 + 2.) Shortly before the end. After a league defeat at Levante and the Champions League loss to Manchester City, Real can finally celebrate again.
