Nidal House, Alphonso Davies’ agent, did not hide that negotiations with Bayern Munich have now stopped in order to extend his client’s contract.
Davies has a contract with the Bavarian club until 2025.
Reports claim that the Spanish Real Madrid will move in the summer transfer market in 2024 to obtain the services of the Canadian international, as he will have entered the last year of his contract with Bayern Munich, which may force the club to sell him to avoid leaving him for free.
“I think we were close (to an agreement to extend the contract),” Hause said. “I was in Munich, and I got up the next day… I saw the news.”
House refers to the dismissal of Oliver Kahn, CEO of Bayern Munich, and Hasan Salihamidzic, the club’s sports director.
And the business agent continued, speaking to journalist Fabrizio Romano, “I waited for a few days, but no one contacted us (from Bayern Munich).”
House doubled the ambiguity about Real Madrid’s interest in his client, saying only, “We cannot confirm anything or deny anything.”
He explained in this regard, “At the present time, we have not made any decisions yet, and (Davis) is still a player for Bayern Munich .. There is no real agreement with any club.”
