In the third round of LaLiga, Real Madrid drew 1-1 against UD Las Palmas away from home. The match was played at the Gran Canaria Stadium. With a goal from Vinícius Júnior at the end, Carlo Ancelotti’s team rescued a last-minute point. Kylian Mbappé is still in a bad way and has not joined La Liga after three rounds.
The last European football champions did not get a foothold in their visit to Las Palmas. Five minutes into the game, the home side took the lead thanks to a goal from Alberto Moleiro and kept the Merengues in suspense, who were not sharp when it came to getting close to the opponent’s goal. In fact, one of the few chances was for the, until now, dull Frenchman. Mbappé came on at the start of the match when he assisted Mendy, who could not control it and missed the chance.
In the second half, Carlo Ancelotti’s team improved a little, but maintained the inconsistency of the first half. One of the points that put them ahead a little was the lucidity of the former PSG player, who entered the second half better. However, the motivation to score his first goal in La Liga diminished as the minutes passed.
But Real Madrid managed to impose their name against Las Palmas to, at least, draw what was going to be a controversial defeat. The insistence ended up pressing the Merengues, who equalized the game after 24 minutes of the match, thanks to a well-executed penalty by Vinícius, who until now has been helping to save Mbappé’s lack of goal. The team’s disappointment will continue until the next match and they will carry the foul that did not allow them to convert from the play.
