A real show was presented to the fans in Saudi Riyadh by Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid in the semi-final match of the Spanish Super Cup, which ended in a 5:3 victory for the Galacticos.
Andrey Lunin watched the match from the substitutes’ bench, with Kepa Arrizabalaga defending the cream goal.
Already in the first half, 4 goals were scored. Antonio Rudiger and Ferland Mendy scored for Real, while Mario Hermoso and Antoine Griezmann scored for Atlético.
After the break, goals from Carvajal and an own goal from Rüdiger led to overtime, during which the Galacticos scored twice more. Savic’s own goal and Diaz’s goal gave Real a victory – 5:3.
Barcelona and Osasuna will play in the second semi-final match today. In the final, Real Madrid will play the winner of the pair on Sunday.
