Real Madrid – Atletico Madrid 1:1: Fan scandal at Madrid derby | football

Fan scandal in the Madrid derby between Real and Atlético!

The game was stopped for over 20 minutes midway through the second half after fans threw objects onto the field and the players.

The trigger was the somewhat provocative goal celebration by Real goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois after the opening goal. After some fans threw objects at the Belgian, the referee stopped the game after consultation with both coaches.

Curious: Atlético coach Diego Simeone, Koke and Jose Giménez went in front of the affected fan block and tried to calm the fans!

After about 20 minutes, the players came out of the locker room and the referee whistled to restart the game. The trigger for the fan scandal was the frustration of the Atlético supporters over the goal they conceded.

The “Royals” took the lead through Éder Militao (64th). Shortly before the end of the game, Angel Correa made it 1-1 – and thus the final score!

Coach Carlo Ancelotti’s team has now been unbeaten in the league for an incredible 40 games. They want to break arch-rival Barcelona’s record of 43 games without defeat.

In the game against city rivals Atlético, there was a lack of offensive power in the first half and real chances were in short supply. The game made it clear how much Real missed the injured superstar Kylian Mbappé.

In the second half, Éder Militão finally scored the opening goal (64th), before Correa scored the lucky punch (90th + 5).

Atlético conceded their first goal ever at home this season (in the league). At the same time, like Real, they remain unbeaten in the current season.

The draw means both clubs remain within striking distance of leaders Barcelona (Real on 2nd, Atlético on 3rd). However, the “Catalans” mistake at the weekend against Osasuna (2:4) could not really be exploited.
