Real Madrid also wins in the second round of the CL against Dortmund after Vinicius’ hat trick

The excellent Vinícius Júnior helped Real Madrid to another victory against Borussia Dortmund in last season’s Champions League final replay. The Brazilian put the game in Spain’s hands with a hat trick, despite the Germans leading 0-2. It became 5-2 in Madrid.

Nuri Sahin’s team’s thoughts will be on a return to action at Wembley in June. Dortmund were the strongest team there for a long time, but Real Madrid eventually won the Champions League with a 2-0 victory.

Something similar happened on Tuesday night. Dortmund started brightly in Spain and took the lead after half an hour of play. But after the break the goals fell like ripe apples for the home team. After an hour of play, Antonio Rüdiger headed the tying goal against the ropes and a few minutes later Vinícius made it 2-2 from close range.

The Brazilian then ran into trouble. Lucas Vázquez had signed for the 3-2, but the attention was mainly focused on Real’s fourth goal.

Vinícius got the ball at his feet in his own penalty area and then he was alone about 70 metres. The Brazilian took a swing and saw the ball fall: 4-2.

It didn’t stop there. The Brazil international’s dominant night was crowned by the completion of his hat-trick. With a hard shot in the short corner, he also scored the fifth goal behind goalkeeper Gregor Kobel.

Dortmund were left frustrated again in a match against Real Madrid.

Another Spanish team, Girona, also had a good night in the Champions League. In the home game against Slovan Bratislava (2-0 victory), the names of two Dutchmen stood out.

Arnaut Danjuma made good use of his speed and, just before half-time, he managed to get a pass from midfielder Miguel Gutiérrez after a rush, who scored the opening goal. Juanpe took care of the final score.

There was less good news for Donny van de Beek, who left the field after 83 minutes of play with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

It was also surprising on Tuesday night that Juventus lost 0-1 at home to Stuttgart. The Italians found themselves with ten men after 84 minutes of play when Danilo received his second yellow card. Enzo Millot scored a penalty for Stuttgart, but Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin converted the bet.

Perin still had no chance in injury time when El Bilal Touré made it 0-1 from close range.
