We regret to announce the death of Réal Lamontagne, at the age of 95, on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the North Centennial Manor in Kapuskasing. Réal was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved gardening and taking care of his flower beds.
He enjoyed spending time at Lac Rémi; He especially loved being surrounded by his family and his grandchildren. He liked to listen to music too.
Réal is survived by his children: Marc (Betty), Joëlle Lamontagne (Tom Lai) of Calgary and Michel (Lola) of Kapuskasing; two sisters: Suzette Lecours of Ottawa and Edith Lamontagne of Timmins; six grandchildren: Hans, Jonah, Patrick, Marie-Pier, Annabelle and Christian; three great-grandchildren: Ren, Ava and Rion; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Réal was predeceased by his wife, Claire, and four brothers: Gaston, Gaëtan, Jean-Claude and Normand.
Réal Lamontagne will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Friday June 3, 2022 from 7 to 9 p.m. The Eucharistic celebration will take place on Saturday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m., in the Immaculée-Conception church, with Father Rémi Lessard as celebrant. The family wishes to thank all the staff of the manor for the very good care provided to Réal during his residency. As expressions of sympathy, the family will be very grateful for donations to the North Centennial Manor. ©
