Real Madrid have made contact with Chelsea captain César Azpilicueta. While they got rid of Sergio Ramos a year and a half ago, Merengue officials are willing to bet on this old Spanish veteran (33 years).

According to the Sport newspaper, Real have sounded out the ex-Marseillaise for a return to his homeland next January. The 2021 European champion, who came out of La Liga in 2010 after an experience at Osasuna, would arrive at the Bernabeu to replace Alvaro Odriozola. The future of the latter seems to take shape on the side of Rome.
Some time ago, Azpilicueta was approached to join FC Barcelona.
