Eight million euros for your own home: Winterhude and Harvestehude are the millionaire hotspots in Hamburg. Blankenese is only good middle-class.
What’s going on in Blankenese? Hamburg’s posh district is only moderately popular with well-heeled real estate buyers. This emerges from the real estate report Hamburg 2023. The expert committee for property values has now published it.
According to this, one or two-family houses were sold last year for an average of 2.3 million euros. Although Blankenese remains expensive, it is only in the upper midfield of all Hamburg districts, in sixth place. More middle-class districts such as Alsterdorf or Nienstedten are just as expensive as Blankenese.
Winterhude is the most expensive district
The most expensive part of Hamburg is Winterhude. One or two-family houses there cost an average of eight million euros. Harvestehude is in second place with around seven million. In Rotherbaum, real estate is changing hands for a good 6.3 million euros.
Real estate in the old country is comparatively cheap. In Francop, detached and semi-detached houses cost an average of 320,000 euros. In the Langenbek district of Harburg, properties are available for around 370,000 euros.
