The Czech investment bank “J&T Banka” has signed an agreement with the crowdfunding platform “EstateGuru” to finance loans secured by real estate in the Baltics, representatives of “EstateGuru” inform.
J&T Banka’s decision to start actively investing in real estate projects in the Baltic States is a continuation of the cooperation with “EstateGuru” started last September, when the bank invested EUR 2.5 million in Finnish and German loans through the platform.
“J&T Banka” board member Tomāš Klimiček states that the bank considers the investment potential in the Baltic countries to be high, taking into account the platform’s good results in the region so far.
Judith Tan, head of capital markets at EstateGuru, notes that the platform has attracted several institutional investors in addition to more than 155,000 private investors. A total of 500 million euros have already been issued in the Baltics, of which 344 million euros have been repaid so far.
When informing about the institutional cooperation partners of “EstateGuru”, Tana singled out the German bank “Varengold Bank”, which has invested 19.5 million euros in Baltic loans of “EstateGuru” since 2018. Currently, the volume of loans, which are mainly focused on residential projects, is 3.9 million euros.
In 2021, “EstateGuru Latvia” worked with a turnover of 527,570 euros and a profit of 1,395 euros.
The company was registered in 2019, and its share capital is 2,800 euros. The company belongs to the Estonian company “Estateguru Operations”.
