Real estate investor Wesley Adema trades in villa during Steenrijk participation, poverty-stricken

As a little boy, Wesley set out to become a millionaire. His determination was not for nothing, because years later he runs various real estate projects and companies together with his wife. “If we decide to fly to Dubai now, we will. We don’t have to see if we can. We don’t really have a budget anymore,” says Wesley. Their villa in Breda also confirms this statement. In addition to their successful career, they also have their hands full with their two sons: Sky and Josh. Together they embark on this swapping adventure. “It gives me a very good feeling that we can share this and that we can let other people in our house with our budget,” says Wesley. “I also love going on this adventure with the kids and to show: this is the other side of the coin,” he adds.

Wesley and his family will move into the house in Gorredijk, Friesland, where single father Marco Heide lives with his two sons: Leroy and Nick. Marco has been in this dire financial situation since he separated from his wife. She had been cheating on her for a year. Then I said: there’s the hole in the door,” says Marco. Marco’s ex-wife had left and he has been taking full care of their sons ever since. “They didn’t want to go to their mother either, because she has a new boyfriend and they don’t get along with that,” explains Marco. For this reason, the men have to get by on 90 euros a week. But this week they enjoy a higher weekly budget, namely 2750 euros.

Rich, penniless can be seen every Wednesday at 8.30 pm on SBS6. Watch last night’s episode here back.
