“Real” basketball players reach the ULEB Euroleague final four tournament

“Real” basketball players beat Vitoria “Baskonia” 102:98 (22:22, 30:34, 20:17, 30:25) in the third game of the quarter finals and were 3-0 ahead in the series of up to three victories.

Gershon Yabusele contributed to the Madrid success with 23 points and seven rebounds, Mario Hezonja scored 16 points, and Walter Tavares had 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Marcus Howard scored 29 points, Nicholas Rogkavopoulos added 18 points, while Vania Marinkovics and Cody Miller-McIntyre scored 17 points each and had 11 assists and seven steals.

In another game, “Fenerbahce” Istanbul defeated “Monaco” at home with 89:78 (19:21, 28:19, 22:18, 20:20) and took a 2-1 lead in the series.

In the Istanbul team, Tarik Biberovic was the top scorer with 14 points, Nick Kalates scored 13 points and had five assists, while Scotty Wilbekin scored 11 points and Marko Guduric, who also had six assists.

Alfa Dialo stood out for the guests with 23 points and seven rebounds.

In the ULEB Euroleague, 18 teams played a two-round tournament, the best six entered the elimination tournament, while the seventh to tenth place winners secured a place in the “play-in” games. The final four tournament will take place in Berlin this season.

In the previous season, the basketball players of “Real” Madrid became the winners of Europe’s most prestigious club tournament for the 11th time, who defeated “Olympiacos” of Piraeus in the final game in Kaunas with a score of 79:78.
