Ready Robust Machinery (CEO Jeong Tae-rang) announced on the 15th that it has developed ‘READiX’, a fuel efficiency improvement solution that can maximize the energy efficiency of excavators using hydraulic systems.
According to the company, CEO Jeong Tae-rang has a doctorate in robotics engineering and commercialized this eco-friendly energy recovery system based on the technology he accumulated while researching domestic construction machinery and hydraulic systems for over 10 years.
ReadyX is a system that stores, recovers, and reuses hydraulic energy generated during the excavator‘s boom operation, providing both fuel savings and carbon emission reduction effects. In particular, based on a 30-ton excavator, it was analyzed that fuel savings of up to 30% were achieved, work speed was improved, and carbon emissions were reduced at the same rate.
Construction equipment mainly operates using hydraulic energy and adopts a method of reducing engine load by utilizing the gravity energy generated when the excavator’s boom comes down. ReadyX provides two modes. The first is ‘Eco mode’, which uses the energy generated by gravity when the boom is lowered to reduce engine load and save fuel. The second is ‘Power mode’, which recovers hydraulic energy wasted during work and uses it to assist the motor or lift the boom to improve performance. Through this, customers can experience fuel cost savings of up to 30% and improved work performance, the company said.
According to Ready Robust Machine, the amount of diesel used per day by a 30-ton excavator amounts to approximately 200-250 L, and that of a 48-ton excavator amounts to 400-500 L. As of August, the national diesel sales price is 1,544 won per liter, so 38-ton equipment can expect fuel savings of up to 115,800 won per day, and 48-ton equipment can expect fuel savings of up to 231,600 won.
Ready It also supports IoT technology and provides the ability to remotely operate the mode through a mobile application.
Ready Robust Machine has developed a prototype of an agricultural machinery fuel reduction system based on this technology and plans to expand it to a variety of heavy equipment products such as bulldozers and harbor cranes in the future. In particular, ReadyX maximizes performance improvement and fuel savings during loading and unloading of excavators, and is continuously being introduced at many construction sites, waste treatment plants, and scrap metal disposal plants.
In March 2024, as a result of applying Ready The company said it was analyzed.
Jeong Tae-rang, CEO of Ready Robust Machines, said, “Ready You can experience improved work performance. “It can be applied to any power source, such as diesel, electricity, or hydrogen, without any problems, and we expect it to play an even bigger role in construction sites where carbon emission reduction is particularly important,” he said.
He continued, “One of the great strengths of Ready “We are receiving positive feedback on the fuel efficiency savings, and based on this, we will continue to improve the performance of our products.”
