Ready for AC Milan

AC Milan confirms the signing by Bodø / Glimt Jens Petter Hauge (20). He has signed a contract until 2025 and has been given suit number 15.

– It feels very good, and not least very correct, Hauge tells Bodø / Glimts official website between Milan.

– AC Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world, with seven Champions League titles. It is a club that is built to win, and that wants to win titles. It can suit me well, says Hauge.

According to Italian media, the price should be around five million euros (55 million kroner).

Most expensive sale

On Wednesday, Hauge had the medical test at the La Madonnina clinic in Milan, where he willingly posed for the photographers who had turned up.

According to Italian media, Hauge will have his first training session with new teammates already today.

Hauge has played four seasons in Bodø / Glimt, and this week was taken out to the A national team for the first time in his career.

The 20-year-old is the most expensive sale in Bodø / Glimt’s history. Now he will be a teammate with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and can make his debut already this weekend when AC Milan meets Spezia at the San Siro on Sunday.

– Of course you look forward to playing with Zlatan. He has been in the “game” for a long time and I will try and learn, Hauge told Avisa Nordland before leaving for Italy on Tuesday.

Breakthrough

After wearing the bench at Aspmyra for much of last season, he made his breakthrough towards the end of the season after Amor Layouni was sold to Egyptian football.

– Of course I think it’s sad to leave Glimt. A club I’ve been to for many years. It will be strange to leave the team now in the middle of the season, but both Glimt, me and AC Milan are very happy with the agreement. Then it will be the best now, says Hauge.

This season he has been brilliant for an undefeated Bodø / Glimt team, and Hauge said no to the Belgian club Cerle Brügge earlier this year.

The interest from Milan really came after he played big at the San Siro in the Europa League qualifier between Bodø / Glimt and Milan last week, where the Italians won 3-2.
