Reading with Thea Lehmann “Blood and Blossoms” in the Meeraner Stadthalle

On Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., all crime thriller fans will get their money’s worth! On this evening Thea Lehmann will be a guest in the Meerane town hall and read from her detective novel “Blood and Blossoms”.
The author, who grew up on Lake Ammersee in Bavaria and lives in a suburb of Munich, has chosen Saxon Switzerland as the setting for her thrilling crime novels: this beautiful Saxon region has been her second home since 1998, as her husband’s family has been close for generations is connected to the Kirnitzschtal. So what could be more natural than to transfer the protagonist of her books, the Bavarian detective inspector Leo Reisinger, to the Saxon province. And now he and his Saxon colleagues are on duty for the sixth time.

“In the new case for the inspectors Leo Reisinger and Sandra Kruse, things go haywire”, Adriana Bellmann, head of the city library, arouses curiosity. “Then the two investigators thought that the year would end quietly, instead they now have to worry about an arrest, a wedding and the robbery on a truck from the paper mill in Königstein. In addition, Reisinger and Kruse have to help a colleague from the LKA in the search for the missing pallets full of banknotes. What at first looks like a trifle quickly turns into an explosive case in which the commissioner from Bavaria has to endure fears of death. “

The audience can look forward to a criminal evening, especially since Thea Lehmann also has the fifth case by Leo Reisinger in her luggage: “Deadly Silence in the Sandstone”. Here researching her own family history turns out to be a dangerous undertaking for a young historian and an alleged car accident turns out to be an attempted murder. It can only be cleared up with a deep insight into German-German history. The visitors can look forward to it!

Tickets are at 12 euros from August 30, 2021 only available in advance in the Meerane City Library, August-Bebel-Straße 49. The library team looks forward to your inquiries on tel. 03764 185715.

“When visiting the event, please also note the regulations applicable at the time for protection against the SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 coronavirus,” said Adriana Bellmann. “So that this evening is extremely exciting for all guests, but by no means criminal!”
