Reading & Leeds Festival has apologized for cutting short Lana Del Rey’s performance on Saturday night. Del Rey’s microphone was turned off before the end of the performance, forcing the singer to stop unexpectedly.
“Due to a mistake by the production team in Reading, we accidentally cut Lana Del Rey’s incredible performance by 5 minutes.
Del Rey was booked as the closing act so there would be a fireworks display after her performance. But five minutes before she was supposed to stop, the fireworks started and Del Rey didn´t make a sound. According to several media outlets present at the show, Del Rey spent the last five minutes of her performance watching the fireworks.
