PARTY
After the first clubs had been able to open to visitors for a long time on the first two weekends in March, the big reunion on the dance floor on Saturday continues happily.
Anyone who wants to catch up on the unusual carnival is in good hands in the Darkflower from 10 p.m. In the Carnival single party From 10 p.m. you can not only dance to synth pop, 80s, rock and metal, but you can also look out for a suitable cover. Costumes are expressly desired!
The Spizz Keller also opens on the occasion of its “WELCOME BACK“-Party opens its doors again and wants to inaugurate the new, second dance floor with pop charts, R’n’B and hip-hop from 10 p.m.
A few meters further, the L1 invites you to “Saturday CLUB L1”-Party. The notorious Leipzig club promises “exclusive beats and hot specials” for 10 euros for ladies and 12 euros for male clubbers.

STREETFOOD MARKET
If you want to celebrate, you need a good basis: You can get it on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. at the Street Food Festival on the grounds of the old fair. You will find traditional African dishes, delicious burgers, unusual meat dishes and lots of other delicacies from the various exhibitors there.
Admission costs three euros, but if you want to hit the festival several times this weekend, you can also buy a festival ticket for five euros. Children up to the age of 13 can enter for free.

BOOK FAIR POP UP
The Leipzig Book Fair should have taken place this weekend, but had to be canceled again in 2022. This year, however, reading friends should not miss out: there will be one in the Westwerk all weekend and also on Saturdays from 12 noon Pop-up Book Fair instead of.
50 publishers present their current titles there, including the publishers Aufbau, Hanser, Jung und Jung, Katapult, Klett-Cotta and Suhrkamp/Insel. tickets are here available at a price of 6 euros, the 2G-plus rule applies.

WEEKLY MARKETS
If you want to prepare a delicious, fresh lunch on Sunday, you should quickly fill your shopping basket again on Saturday. That goes on the Saturday market in Plagwitz, where you can shop for vegetables, meat or baked goods from local producers, for example. It’s similar on the convenience store in front of the arena, where you can stroll between fruit and vegetable stands, cheese counters or snack bars between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

KINO
You can also end the Saturday comfortably with an exciting film in the soft seats of a cinema. At 7.30 p.m. you can watch the coming-of-age film “Licorice Pizza” Watch, at 9 p.m. the Agatha Christie film will be shown in the Passage Kino “Death on the Nile“.
