The legal team read out the pleas of Ipda M Yusmin Ohorella and First Brigadier Fikri Ramadhan regarding the shooting of FPI troops in case Km 50 on the Cikampek Toll Road. In their plea, the team of attorneys blamed Habib Rizieq Shihab until the FPI Laskar was the cause of this case.
This was conveyed by the attorney for the two defendants, Henry Yosodiningrat, while reading the pleidoi at the South Jakarta District Court, Friday (25/2/2022). Henry initially said that the Km 50 case would not have happened if Habib Rizieq cooperated in undergoing examination as a witness at the Polda Metro Jaya.
“Of course all parties deeply regret this incident. If only Brother Moh Rizieq Shihab alias Habib Rizieq was cooperative in order to fulfill the summons from the Polda Metro Jaya investigators as witnesses to the health protocol case and did not provoke his followers to surround and whitewash the Polda Metro Jaya by taking action anarchist,” said Henry.
Henry also said that the shooting would not have taken place if members of the FPI laskar had not strangled and seized the defendant’s weapon. He believes that if there was no trigger, the Km 50 incident would not have happened.
“If only members of the FPI laskar did not strangle and beat and did not snatch the Defendant’s weapon, First Brigadier Fikri Ramadhan, we can be sure that this incident would not have happened,” he said.
Henry then alluded to the origins of the FPI laskar in his client’s plea. He said the FPI troops were special forces from an organization called the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI).
“As we know that the FPI laskar is a special force from an mass organization that calls itself the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI),” said Henry.
Henry called FPI a terrorist-affiliated mass organization. He said the ‘face’ of ISIS was reflected in the behavior of the FPI.
“As we all know that FPI is an organization affiliated with a terrorist organization founded in Baghdad and also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), which is well known for carrying out brutal, cruel and horrific terrorist attacks in various countries, ‘ said Henry.
“The face of ISIS is reflected in the behavior of the FPI so far, which brings religious issues that are vulnerable and sensitive and contrary to the ideology of Pancasila such as calls for war, calls for rebellion, calls for the removal of the president, calls that make noise, calls that provoke public anxiety and fear, as well as actions that impose the will and ‘play judge yourself’ that have taken place everywhere, ”he continued.
