Feyenoord resumed the competition after the international match with a match against SC Heerenveen. A special match, because former Feyenoord player Robin van Persie is now the trainer of the Frisian formation.

And not only Van Persie returned, it was also a special evening for Alireza Jahanbakhsh. The attacker – like Van Persie – left Feyenoord last summer and has only recently been a player for SC Heerenveen.

Feyenoord has to do without captain Quinten Timber. He is not fit enough to play, Justin Bijlow is also missing. The good news is that Calvin Stengs returns to the selection after a long period of injury.

Of course Feyenoord – sc Heerenveen could be followed live on Radio Rijnmond. The match starts at 6:45 PM. Dennis van Eersel and Dennis Kranenburg report on the match, Jesse van Someren presents the broadcast from 6:00 PM.

Referee Jeroen Manschot thinks it’s enough and blows the whistle for the end of the match. Feyenoord easily beat Robin van Persie’s SC Heerenveen 3-0

88′ Freewheeling to the end

Feyenoord calmly passes the ball around. Heerenveen comes out a few times, but lacks urgency. The Rotterdammers can freewheel towards the Champions League clash against Manchester City next Tuesday.

A fantastic counter through the feet of Calvin Stengs is not completed by Paixao. The wing attacker pushes the ball wide

Feyenoord will easily win against Heerenveen after a beautiful attack that is beautifully finished by Igor Paixao. The Brazilian will certainly have it on his hips tonight, because he was involved in all the goals.

Thomas Beelen can warm up in the dressing room. He is replaced by Gernot Trauner.

70′ Series of chances Feyenoord

Feyenoord combines into the penalty area, but the Frisians bravely hold out against the shots of Stengs, Nieuwkoop and Zechiël.

Trainer Brian Priske changes again. Zekiel and Redmond come into the team for Hwang and Carranza.

61′ Stengs’ first ball contact, immediately dangerous

Stengs has the ball for the first time and sees the Heerenveen keeper standing far in front of his goal. The midfielder tries and the ball goes just wide.

60′ Double substitution at Feyenoord

The match is over for Milambo and Read. Stengs and Nieuwkoop come within the lines. For Stengs these are his first minutes after his lingering knee injury.

The second half of the 100 meter freestyle has started. The ball rolls onto a soaking wet field and the rain keeps pouring down. Feyenoord comfortably in the lead. Two substitutions on the Heerenveen side. Alireza Jahanbakhsh makes his debut for the Frisians. He replaces Conde and Ilias Sebaoui, who was loaned out by Feyenoord, also comes on for the second half.

After 47 minutes of play, referee Jeroen Manschot thinks it’s enough. The men on the field and Het Legioen can warm up at halftime with a 2-0 lead for Feyenoord.

Feyenoord increases the lead through Anis Hadj-Moussa! Carranza shoots the ball at Noppert and on the rebound the ball ends up with Hadj-Moussa. The Algerian doesn’t think twice and rams him in!

The first real chance for Julian Carranza, who doesn’t really feature in the play yet, is immediately spot on! The Argentinian receives the ball from Paixao and beats Noppert in the short corner.

22′ Hadj-Moussa shoots right at Noppert

Anis Hadj-Moussa takes a swing, but his shot simply ends up in the hands of Noppert.

Feyenoord combines via Read on the right. The ball is passed and Hwang appears in the box. His shot is broken. Still 0-0.

The first ten minutes are over and nothing has happened until the ball ends up in Hwang’s hands after poor defending from the Frisians.

5′ First opportunity Feyenoord

No real opportunities yet in De Kuip during the first act of the water ballet. There was an opportunity through an individual action by Paixao, but his cross was harmless.

Ten minutes before kick-off

We are ready, Feyenoord is getting ready and ten minutes until kick-off. In the meantime, Het Legion is warmed up by Hardcore Sinterklaas songs. Let’s hope that ‘Lovely Evening’ has already arrived tonight.

Hugo Bueno is not in the selection

The Spanish left back is so unfit that he is not in the match selection. Trainer Brian Priske expects to miss him for a number of weeks, he told ESPN.

Trauner and Stengs can come on, as can Alireza Jahanbakhsh on the visitors’ side.

‘Ali-reza, Ali-reza Jahanbakhsh’

‘I’m looking forward to the walk to the dugout’
