Reacting to Prince Harry’s new revelations:

In his new autobiography “Spare”, the British Prince Harry tells one comparison with his brother, Prince William in 2019.

Here he claims that his brother allegedly physically assaulted him, which is said to have resulted in visible injuries to his back.

As well as calling Harry’s wife Duchess Meghan too difficult, rude and insensitive. The Guardian writes it.

It can perhaps be explained by Meghan not feeling enlightened enough, which has come to light recently, including in the Netflix documentary ‘Harry and Meghan’.

The incident described in the book caused a reaction from several people.

– Hard to know

TV 2 royal house expert Ole-Jørgen Schulsrud-Hansen believes that it is not inconceivable that this attack happened, but that it is a complicated situation.

– It could very well have happened in a situation with a lot of frustration, as there certainly was in the run-up to Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s retirement from the British royal house.

– But when they make such accusations against someone who can’t speak, it’s hard for us around to know what to believe.

Throw William under the bus

In January 2020, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan resigned from their posts in the British royal household. One reason for this was the enormous pressure from the British media.

– The criticism leveled at the prince couple is precisely that they withdrew to avoid the press, now they are selling themselves to the media in order to be able to live as they did in the past. So they just throw Prince Harry’s brother under the bus, says Schulsrud-Hansen.

Strengthen the royal house

The royal house expert believes the story that emerges in Harry’s autobiography will strengthen the royal house, rather than weaken the institution and Britain’s relationship with it.

– I probably think that much of what is happening around the situation with Prince Harry probably only strengthens the royal house. Because here he is simply betraying the institution he was supposed to work for, he explains.

Furthermore, Schulsrud-Hansen says Prince Harry was previously seen as a golden boy by the British, who were apologetic about the times he screwed up. It seems that has changed.

– The Brits would probably rather support Prince William in the whole thing than Prince Harry. That may have changed a bit lately, with this documentary coming out in December, the Oprah interview in 2021, and now this book.

He thinks Harry has failed

In the book, Harry claims William called his wife, Meghan, difficult, rude, and insensitive.

– If there’s one man responsible for making his entry into this institution as smooth as possible, it was Prince Harry.

Schulsrud-Hansen, on the other hand, believes it was actually Prince Harry himself who was responsible for helping her.

– When it emerges in the documentary that Meghan wasn’t even told how to say no to the Queen, I’d rather argue that it’s Prince Harry who falls short of the training rather than Meghan who falls short of the measure of learning Schulsrud-Hansen explains.

It weakens family relationships

British expert Erik Mustad believes that Prince Harry’s relationship with his family has weakened significantly.

– Unfortunately, it looks like this. That Harry is sore and difficult and he thinks this has been a difficult process with a lot of emotion, absolutely. This is Harry’s version of these episodes and therefore it will be difficult for the monarchy to take revenge here.

In the past, Prince Harry has said he wants a father and a brother, but without being part of an institution.

– The British monarchy is a father and brother institution, so it becomes difficult when you think you only want a brother and a father, because the king and the heir to the throne are in question.
