Reach the Premium Market, Xiaomi Changes the Logo and This is the Real Meaning

Suara.com – The second day of the Mega Launch event, Xiaomi presents the brand’s first foldable smartphone, the Mi Mix Fold. Not only that, there are other announcements that are no less big, namely a new logo.

Xiaomi’s new logo has arrived and brings a new “Living” brand identity designed by Japanese graphic designer, Kenya Hara.

Reported page GSM Arena, Wednesday (31/3/2021), the big change to the new logo is its rounded edges.

There’s also a new MI typography which adds a more aesthetic, look to the company name alongside the logo.

As citing the company’s official website, Xiaomi determined that it wanted a more vibrant look for its brand identity and one that symbolized its agile nature heading into the next decade.

This new branding aims to further strengthen Xiaomi’s foothold in the premium market, while simultaneously increasing brand awareness with its users, through a new dynamic logo.

The corporate color remains orange to further convey Xiaomi’s vitality and youthfulness. Black and silver will also be used as additional colors to accommodate upscale product line applications.

Xiaomi is adopting a new dynamic logo format for the first time, breaking the traditional rules of using brand logos in the past.

The new logo is not installed in the four square corners, but instead adapts to the content and is placed in the most appropriate position.

The new dynamic shaped logo, increasingly embracing philosophical thinking, makes the logo truly “Alive”.
