INDOZONE.ID – Currently Capcom is preparing to launch the latest Resident Evil game series, called RE8 or Resident Evil Village. However, it turns out that there is something unique about the development of the RE: Village game.
Through IGN First The director of the Resident Evil game series, Morimasa Sato, revealed that the initial development of Resident Evil Village had started 6 months before Resident Evil 7 was launched.
Yes, it means that the initial development of the RE: Village game has been carried out since 2016 and now the game is finally ready to be launched to the public.
“We are still busy developing Resident Evil 7, but my boss told me to plan the next series. Even though we don’t have an idea how the fans will respond to the game and also the characters in the 7th series at all,” he said.
Maybe Capcom is sure that the Resident Evil 7: Biohazard series will be a series that is successful enough to allow the latest series to be made as quickly as possible.
“We don’t know how the change in perspective will be accepted. At first we were quite worried, but after RE7 was released half a year and the process of making RE Village started, the response was quite good,” continued Sato.
With this, it is possible that currently the Capcom team has started developing the 9th Resident Evil series if they really want to continue this survival horror game series further in the future.
