Seventeen students took the exam on Wednesday 26 August. “But that was taken in a different building than where the study area is normally located. The supervisor stored the resits in a lockable locker on Wednesday evening. The lockers, including the locker with the resit, were accidentally thrown into a waste container during renovation work in that building on Thursday morning, ”said Vives university spokesperson Frank Devos to Het Laatste Nieuws.

The re-exam was held last Thursday, after the regular re-exam period, “so that the students had some extra time to prepare.” According to Devos, the assessment took into account the ‘special circumstances.’
