ECP Entwicklungsgesellschaft is hiring a Test Technician, based in Berlin.

As a Test Technician (m/f/d), you will support research & product development on Abiomed’s Impella heart pumps by creating test protocols, preparing test procedures and protocols, performing tests and creating reports.

Exciting activities await you:

• As a Test Technician (m/f/d) you perform tests according to standard guidelines (ASTM, SOP, WI)
• In this role, you will check whether product prototypes meet our requirements and specifications and support the design and development of new prototypes as well as testing
• You perform data analyzes and capture the documents in our systems
• This includes the design and creation of test plans/protocols and test reports
• It is your responsibility to perform and/or support test procedure validation tasks
• You support the continuous improvement process in the daily life of a laboratory

Main Responsibilities:

• performance map of pump prototypes
• hemolysis tests of pump proteins (performed in pig blood)
• subassembly testing including eg tensile testing
• High speed camera tests on pump prototypes or subassemblies
• High-cycle fatigue testing of complete or subassembly-level pumping systems
• Documentation of the tests carried out
• Calibration of test rig sensors

Capabilities

Education:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Science or Engineering with a technical focus or test technician degree

Knowledge and Skills:

Required:

• Excellent MS Office skills
• Strong, efficient, detail-oriented organizational skills
• Demonstrate better teamwork in working with peers in manufacturing, quality control, logistics and engineering

Preferably:

• Knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems
• Hands-on experience with basic laboratory and test equipment (eg microscope, multimeter, pressure sensor, thermocouple, etc.)
• Experience in medical device testing

Other:

• Fluent speaking and writing in German
• Travel prepared to other Abiomed locations
• Fluent speaking and writing in English and German
• A valid passport B
