Bangui, Central African Republic, Wednesday, August 11, 2021, 03:36:51 (Corbeaunews-Centrafrique). the Last July 14, a petition for the “dismissal” of the Honorable Abdoul Karim Meckassoua was introduced before the Constitutional Court by Maître Maïtovo, the lawyer for the unfortunate candidate Algoni. The person concerned was not notified until July 22, 2021 during his surprise summons by constitutional judge Wagalé. He was given ten days to prepare his defense. Finally this Tuesday, August 10, the four constitutional judges unanimously decided to remove him from his title of deputy. For almost all of the national political class, this decision is totally illegal and unconstitutional. “This shows that Touadera will now stop at nothing to apply his dictatorship,” said a leader of the COD-2020.
Of the eight constitutional judges, one had died. This is Mr. Gomongo. There are only seven left, but President Danièle Darlan has fled her responsibilities. She went into hiding in France, transmitting the file to her vice-president, Mr. Jean-Pierre Waboé, a very close relative of the head of state Faustin Archange Touadera. Of the six judges who sat on August 9 and 10, 2021, Ms. Naïssem and Mr. Zangafio refused to endorse this political decision. They left the proceedings, leaving the four other judges, namely Messrs Waboé, Ouagalais, Pingama and Kénguéléwa to execute Touadera’s sentence.
According to the judges, the decision will be formalized between August 12 and 14, 2021. This opens the door to criminal proceedings against Mr. Meckassoua. The public prosecutor will have the authorization of his Minister of Justice, Mr. Arnaud Djoubaye-Abazène to arrest him and place him on a committal warrant, according to the current tactics of the Head of State.
« They dismiss after they think about the reasons. But normally with four judges, the quorum is not reached. But even that they don’t care. There it shows that Touadera will stop at nothing from now on to apply his dictatorship.
», alarmed a leader of the democratic opposition coalition (COD-2020).
