RBI pair made it to mixed doubles final, will compete with PSPB

Chandigarh News|Chandigarh: Exciting matches continued on the fourth day of the 51st All India Inter-Institutional Table Tennis Championship held at the Gymnasium Hall of Panjab University. In the mixed doubles final, RBI’s third-seeded pair of Diya Chitale and Manush Shah will face PSPB’s top-seeded pair of Yashaswini Ghorpade and Harmeet Desai.

Both the pairs showed excellent performance in their semi-final and quarter-final matches and secured their place in the finals. Despite tough matches and a busy schedule, the players maintained their rhythm and skills, which demonstrated their talent and determination.

*Mixed Doubles Semifinal Result:*

• Yashaswini Ghorpade/Harmeet Desai (PSPB) beat Poyamanti Baisya/Akash Pal (RSPB): 11-9, 10-12, 12-10, 11-4
• Diya Chitale/Manush Shah (RBI) beat Sutirtha Mukherjee/Ronit Bhanja (RSPB): 8-11, 9-11, 11-9, 12-10, 11-9

*Mixed Doubles Quarter Final Result:*
• Yashswini/Harmeet beat Shruti Amrite/Anirban Ghosh (RSPB): 11-8, 11-7, 12-10
• Poyamanti/Akash beat Tanisha Kotecha/Jaish Modi (MAH): 11-7, 11-8, 11-6
• Diya/Manush beat Selena Deepti Selvakumar/Rahul Yadav (CRSB): 14-12, 11-4, 11-9
• Sutirtha/Ronit beat Anjali Rohilla/Himnakulapuingeta Jeho (IA&AD): 11-7, 11-5, 11-6

Meanwhile, the knockout rounds of men’s and women’s singles category also started, in which two rounds of men’s category and one round of women’s category were completed.
