The new head coach of Rubin, Rashid Rakhimov, during a welcoming meeting with the team, said that it should play in the elite division of the Russian championship. Telegram channel of the Kazan club published video with Rakhimov’s speech.
“Naturally, I am pleased to come to Rubin. This is a club with a name that has already achieved quite a lot. Unfortunately, now the team has such a difficult period, because you yourself understand where it should be, in which league it should play. You deserve to play in the Russian Premier League. This is very important because the best play there,” Rakhimov said.
Rubin fired the head coach for the second time this season
According to the coach, the team now has one task – to be a single whole. “In order to complete the task, in the final part of the championship, one must die on the field and be a single team. You can do it, ”concluded the coach.
On April 12, Rakhimov replaced Yuri Utkulbaev at Rubin.
After 26 rounds in the First League, Rubin is in second place in the standings with 47 points. Baltika is leading with 53 points. Kazan was eliminated from the RPL last season.
