RB Salzburg set their own team player record – football

The domestic football fan is now used to the fact that series champions Red Bull Salzburg are rushing from record to record in Austria. But now the “cops” are breaking their own record: 15 Salzburg kickers have been called up by their respective national associations – a club record.

So it is currently quieter on the training ground than ever before, two thirds of all players in the squad are currently on the road. The largest delegations are made by the ÖFB team or the “Swiss national team”.

In addition to captain Andreas Ulmer, the debutants Nicolas Seiwald and Junior Adamu can be found in the squad of team boss Franco Foda for the first time. Switzerland team boss Murat Yukan also called in two newcomers: Keeper Philipp Köhn, like youngster Byran Okoh, can look forward to his first call-up, and Noah Okafor, who is in good shape, is back after a two-year break.

“World tour” for Aaronson

US boy Brenden Aaronson flies around half the globe for the international matches against Mexico and Jamaica, Mohamed Camara (Mali) and Jerome Onguene (Cameroon) are in action in Africa for the World Cup qualifiers.

Karim Adeyemi (Germany, meanwhile left again >>), Rasmus Kristensen (Denmark) and Luka Sucic (Croatia) play with their teams on European soil.

In addition to the 12 A team players, the 15 players make up three other players who have been nominated for their national U21 teams. Goalie Nico Mantl (Germany), midfielder Maurits Kjaergaard (Denmark) and striker hope Roko Simic (Croatia) are also not staying in Salzburg.

Because Matthias Jaissle is still in quarantine after his Covid 19 infection and the bull hospital (including Junuzovic, Koita, Vallci, Piatkowski, Wöber) is bursting at the seams, the “cops” temporarily suspended training. Austria’s Champions League starters will not continue until November 20 with the Bundesliga home game against Admira.
