RB Leipzig vs TSG Hoffenheim on 1st February

Reigning champions RB Leipzig will host TSG Hoffenheim in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup on 1 February at 6pm. The German Football Association (DFB) announced Wednesday. The game will be seen exclusively on the Sky pay channel.

Eight different start times

In the round of 16, all eight matches will have their own starting time for the first time. Matches will take place over four days between late January and early February next year. Three matches will be broadcast live on ARD and ZDF. All games run on Sky.

ARD and ZDF do not show RB Leipzig

The ARD will show the match between FSV Mainz 05 and Bayern Munich on 1 February and the Hessian derby between Eintracht Frankfurt and Darmstadt 98 on 7 February to see Dortmund. Kick-off is at 20:45 every day.

Tuesday 31 January 2023:
SC Paderborn – VfB Stuttgart (18.00)
Union Berlin – VfL Wolfsburg (20.45)

Wednesday 1 February 2023:
Leipzig – TSG Hoffenheim (18.00)
FSV Mainz 05 – Bayern Munich (20:45)

For Leipzig’s David Raum, Leipzig’s match against Hoffenheim will be a meeting with his former club. Angeliño, on the other hand, loaned to Hoffenheim, meets his former colleagues against the RB. The Spaniard still has a valid contract with RB until the summer of 2025. But both teams will meet in the Bundesliga on November 5, but then at TSG.
