RB Leipzig: That’s why Poulsen wants to change – Bundesliga

He came as a Nobody from the second Danish league in 2013, once kicked with RB in the 3rd league in Elversberg and then shot the club into the Champions League. Now Yussuf Poulsen (25) is about to say goodbye!

As reported by SPORT BILD, the Dane (contract until 2022) asked for approval! As a transfer, at least 30 million euros must be on the table. Only English clubs could pay that (if at all) in the Corona crisis.

Leipzig loses its last traditional player!

Poulsen has been the longest-serving Leipzig professional since Diego Demme’s departure (in winter to Naples). With 248 appearances for the club founded in 2009, Poulsen is also an internal club player.

Most recently, the fan favorite has aroused desires in England. It was Everton and West Ham, now Newcastle. In the past, Poulsen had always raved about the island: “The Premier League would generally appeal to me and fit my game well.”

He was less and less suited to the increased possession game of the Leipziger. It was different in the previous season.

Coach Julian Nagelsmann (32) only said: “It felt like Peter Gulacsi only hit long balls last season that landed on Yussuf Poulsen’s head.”

In addition, the competition with Timo Werner (23) and Nagelsmann’s preferred player Patrik Schick (24 / borrowed from AS Roma) is enormous. In the second half of the season, Poulsen only played one league game from the start.

In the summer it is probably over.
