Silva added with a smile, referring to Ronaldo’s own fragrance range: “If I can be anywhere near as successful as Ronaldo, then that’s good, with or without perfume.”
The Portuguese international, who played together with Ronaldo at the European Championship, completed his team training for the first time in Leipzig on Friday. Last season, Silva played for league rival Eintracht Frankfurt, for Hessen he had scored 28 goals in the Bundesliga.
Silva left it open whether a similar performance can be expected from him in Leipzig. “I’m now on a new team, I’ve got new players, there’s a new mentality and way of playing,” said the 25-year-old: “But my mindset is that there are no limits. I always want to improve.”
