RB Leipzig lets Mohamed Simakan move to Al-Nassr FC

Leipzig/msc – Mohamed Simakan has accepted the offer from FC Al-Nassr and is moving to the Saudi Pro League to join Cristiano Ronaldo’s club. RB Leipzig announced this on the club’s website on Saturday night.

Simakan leaves after three years and 122 games

The right-footer was a defender for the Saxons for three years. RB Leipzig bid him farewell with warm words: “He is a fine guy and has always identified 100 percent with the club and the city,” said sporting director Rouven Schröder.

Simakan had “decided to go a different way” and Schröder agreed to this decision. The transfer fee certainly helped, because according to reports, the requested 45 million euros will go to Leipzig.

Two cup wins and “huge parties” with RB Leipzig

Simakan played 122 games for RB, scoring 20 points and also winning two cups. He will miss Leipzig and the “huge parties” after the title wins, he said in his statement on the website.

“It was an honour for me to be able to play for this club, in this city and for these fans. The three years with RB Leipzig were incredible and the best time of my career so far.” A highlight was certainly the 3-2 win against Real Madrid, in which he was named Man of the Match.
