RB Leipzig coach Jesse Marsch continues to hold out after the new setback against Club Bruges. Now comes VfL Bochum-
Leipzig – While RB Leipzig Coach Jesse Marsch (47) after the recent Setback against Club Bruges (1: 2) continues to drag through the press conferences with slogans for perseverance, the Bundesliga opponent on Saturday has completely different problems.
–
Because the VfL Bochum fan scene has (once again) called for a boycott of the away game in Saxony. By Thursday noon only 500 had been brought to the woman and the man, more than double that (1109) could have been sold.
When the teams first met in 2014 – back then in the second division – the Bochum Ultras called for people not to go to Leipzig in order not to support Red Bull’s marketing activities.
Five years later, a few hundred are resisting the call for a boycott and will travel to the Saxon metropolis.

To go to the Red Bull Arena away from home or not “everyone has to decide for themselves”, said VfL coach Thomas Reis (47). “In the end, it’s about supporting us as a team. We are happy for those who are there.”
It is “up to everyone how they think about individual clubs. But we’re going there and looking forward to the game because we want to compete with the best teams in the league.”

Promotion coach Reis described the start of the Leipzig season with only seven points from six games with the word “teething problems”, but warned at the same time that the Saxons should be underestimated.
“They have shown impressively when you let them come into play and do everything they can. Hertha felt that. We are definitely prepared for that.” The home games against VfB Stuttgart (4: 0) and Hertha BSC (6: 0) were the only two outliers.
RB coach Marsch, on the other hand, is still looking for consistency. “If we play more and more with better performances, the self-confidence and stability will be stronger,” the American is sure.

Against Bochum, he still has to do without the injured Dani Olmo (23, torn muscle) and Marcel Halstenberg (30, capsule injury), but can again plan with returning Angelino (24).
By the way: In the upcoming international break, RB is planning a test, possibly against a second or third division team.
