Since it is impossible to correct the already adopted bill at the level of the Rada, there is a high probability that the president will veto it.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may veto Bill 3711-D on the restart of the High Qualification Commission of Judges due to a collision. It is reported by Ukrainian truth with reference to the head of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov.
“There really is a problem, when 453 amendments were voted, which increased the influence of international experts on decision-making. After that, 409 amendments were voted,” Razumkov said.
According to him, there is a conflict in the law, when these norms can be interpreted in completely different ways, or an increase in the role of experts, or a decrease.
Since it is impossible to correct the already adopted bill at the level of the Rada, there is a high probability that the president will veto him because of this technical issue, and then the bill will be returned to parliament.
“If this happens, then next plenary week we will be able to consider it and eliminate the contradictions,” Razumkov summed up.
Recall that on June 29, the Rada adopted bill No. 3711-D, which provides for amendments to the Law on the Judicial System and the Status of Judges, according to which it is planned restart of the High Qualification Commission of Judges with a decisive role of international experts.
