While the radio is about to move, Rayvox offers this Friday, February 14, a 24-hour radio marathon live, mobilizing a good part of the team. Then the radio will move to rue Petit, still in the Gambetta district. “It’s a way of saying goodbye to the place and bring everyone together,” explain the creative animators, who will welcome the curious and listeners all day [3[3[3[3].
In this new house, laurent Rump will be able to install a second 1961 console, whose restoration he finished. “It dates from the opening of the Maison de la Radio, at the time of the transition to the stereo,” he explains, with stars in his eyes. The space will make the radio cohabit, a recording studio as well as a workshop to still restore equipment. Laurent Rump does not like the term collector, he is nevertheless at the head of a real “Living museum” radio. As its creation, around thirty animators have followed one another in the various microphones, producing more than 600 podcasts.
“During these 24 hours, all the programs, even the usual, will be special,” explain the volunteers. From 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.,AxL,an animator from rayvox n’roll, will run the Nîmes Urban Trail, covering 15 km [1[1[1[1]. The programs will continue throughout the day, featuring a variety of music genres including rock, metal, hip-hop, jazz, world, and electro [2[2[2[2].
