Brazilian skateboarding and swimming shone on the first day of finals at the Pan American Games in Santiago. The modalities, together, guaranteed four gold medals for the country, which ended the day in third place in the medals table.
Team Brazil also won three more silver and six bronze medals, totaling 13 medals. The United States, with nine gold medals, and Mexico, with six, occupy first and second position in the ranking.
