MADRID (AP) — Rayo Vallecano’s winless streak in the Spanish league reached 12 games on Monday after a 1-1 draw at home to Valencia.

Valencia opened the scoring thanks to Carlos Soler in the 57th minute and the local team equalized through Sergi Guardiola in the 83rd, at the Vallecas stadium.

Rayo have not won a league game since beating bottom-place Alavés last December.

On the contrary, Valencia extended its run without defeat in La Liga to six games, with three wins, and is located in ninth position in the table.

Rayo is in 13th place, six points above the relegation zone. He has a pending match, against Barcelona.
