City council leader in Oslo, Raymond Johansen (Ap), has had to watch his party rule against losing power in the capital. Nevertheless, he will not declare Oslo lost.
He emphasizes that only 60 per cent of the votes have been counted, and that the Norwegian Electoral Directorate reports challenges.
– We will follow the development throughout the night. I have to get up early tomorrow. At a quarter past seven I’m going to Politisk kvarter to comment, so it will be a very exciting commentary, says Johansen around midnight, to laughter from the audience.
Furthermore, Raymond thanks him for his efforts, and says that he is now going home and going to bed.
He also says that the differences in Oslo are large, and claims that it does not help with tax cuts.
– This city is not crying out for more Conservative politics, says Johansen.
