“Rayen impressed us with his approach in the training period and we see potential in him for the future. That’s why we decided to sign a contract with him. However, in the current season, he would not have an adequate workload with us, so he was arranged for a loan at first league club Vsetín,” said the head coach of Liberec, Filip Pešán. At the start of training, Petrovicky played three matches for the White Tigers and scored two goals.
Last season, Petrovicky started in the Slovak Extraliga in Trenčín and scored one assist in 11 matches. He also played in three duels in the second highest competition for Topoľčany and recorded one pass.
In February, he moved to the second highest Finnish league to the team Joensuun Kiekko-Pojat, for which he collected a goal and six assists in 17 games, including the playoffs. Previously, he played in another Finnish team, TUTO Hockey, where he played for the junior team and then also in the second highest competition.
Rayen’s father Róbert has been working in the Czech Extraliga since this season, who became an assistant to coach Jan Tomajko in Olomouc.
