RAYE received the most statuettes at the presentation of the BRIT Awards, the most important British music prizes, on Saturday. The singer cashed in six of her seven nominations in London. With this she broke the record for the most prizes won in a single ceremony.
The 26-year-old singer-songwriter, whose real name is Rachel Keen, had the best chance of winning an award with seven nominations. That was also a record.
She won, among other things, the award for song of the year, best new artist, album of the year and artist of the year.
Other winners included Dua Lipa (best pop act), SZA (international artist of the year) and Miley Cyrus. The latter American singer won the BRIT Award for international song of the year with her hit Flowers.
Kylie Minogue received a lifetime achievement award during the awards ceremony. The 55-year-old Australian singer also performed at the award show. There were also more performances by Tate McRae, Dua Lipa and Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding, among others.
