Speaker of the National Assembly Raya Nazarian has rejected the post of interim prime minister and president Rumen Radev.
He invited her to a meeting today to discuss the future of official power. Nazaryan is a new addition to the list of acting prime ministers listed in the constitution, but already last week she announced that if Radev invited her, she would decline.
“With the head of state of the Republic of Bulgaria, we had a meaningful and long discussion on all topics on the society’s agenda, including the short-term and long-term future of Bulgaria. We talked back the good conversation between the parties. as an important and good move, and we agreed that it should continue in the upcoming election campaign, as the issue is important for voter turnout and, above all, for trust to return the political processes,” said Nazaryan after the meeting, which lasted a little more than 30 minutes.
Posta refused because, according to her, “clear political figures will not add to the good tone and communication between parties in an election campaign, and they will not increase confidence in the political president.”
“GERB participates in these elections with an equal start to all other parties,” said Nazaryan and recalled that the main task of the prime minister is to organize fair elections.
