Turkish series “A Ray of Hope” – what is it about?
In Turkey, the series is called “Bahari Beklerken” (lit. “Waiting for spring”). This is a production from 2019, and one of the main roles in it is played by Isabella Damla Güvenilir, who we know very well from the title role in “Elif”.
“A Ray of Hope” tells the story of a family that got separated. Ömer (Fatih Ayhan) is wrongly convicted of theft and goes to prison. His wife, Ipek (Gülşah Aydın), is very nervous about this and begins to give birth prematurely. She does not know, however, that it was her greedy cousin Halil and his wife Neslihan (Esin Civangil) that put her husband in prison. After giving birth, Neslihan still wanted to separate Ipek and Ömer, so she took her newborn baby and gave Kadir to death …
